This will be a post in two parts: Project: Aero pt. 2 and EF Teaser
Project: Aero pt. 2
We spent most of the day developing Adrian’s Toyota Celica aero package. The splitter is coming along great! We were able to cut the 1/2″ Birch plywood with the jigsaw that we traced from our template we made last week. After that we sanded the entire board to make it as smooth as possible. Next we mocked up mounting points and brackets for the splitter to be bolted to. We were fortunate enough to find strong locations where existing bolts are bolted to. Our goal by the end of the weekend is to have everything mounted and prep the aero pieces for paint. Again, we will leave you with a teaser pictures.

EF Teaser
Earlier this week, I ”borrowed” my sister’s Canon Rebel digital SLR camera (as you can see above) and headed to Tom’s house to see the developement of the EF. The project has been kept under wraps for the past couple of months. However, slowly but surely, leaked information about the project has trickled outside of the circle. In order to keep things exciting, we will release a picture of the development. So, the following picture will either confirm your allegations or leave you wanting more.

It’s the first of the month, which means, time attack is in 25 days. That’s right! Let the track preparation commence. Adrian’s Celica will hopefully be sporting a new aero package, which includes, fog light covers, front and side splitters, and rear wing. Due to the rules of street stock, we cannont make a rear diffuser for the car. Testing will be done at this year’s Round 7 Redline Time Attack at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in order to refine it for the final round at Autoclub Speedway. What’s in store for Tom’s EF civic? You’ll just have to wait and see…
Here is a teaser shot of the beginning stages of the aero package

The following was taken from here:
The 8th S2K Challenge event was held on August 2, 2009 at Buttonwillow Raceway (#13CW). 28 (yes TWENTY-EIGHT!)
S2000 drivers participated in the event, the best turnout yet for the 2009 S2K Challenge Series, and we are very pleased by the excitement the Series has generated among S2000 owners in SoCal.

These are pictures of Rich’s Celica donked out on 18inch work eurolines. At first the pink paint was off-putting, but after further double-takes, I think its starting to grow on alot of people. Wait, what’s that on the window???…it’s a RaceLikeBunnies sticker. Richard has been in the drift game for quite some time now, so its only fitting he rep the sticker and we bring him into the teamRLB family. Many of you might remember when his car was blue. The car is actually up for sale, probably without the wheels. So hit him up here if interested. Also, look out for him and his cressida build.

I’ve said it countless times, “time between track events lag.” There are currently no planned track events until September’s Spring Mountain event. In the meantime, content on this site has suffered mainly due to our lives outside of RLB: new jobs, new experiences, and the relative vacation from RLB. But suffer no more! RaceLikeBunnies has alot in its future, you just have to be patient. In the mean time, you should check out the time killers to your right and read magazines below to keep you sane. Things currently planned for the RLB site:
-update it…
Plans for myself:
-stop being lazy…zZzzZZz

The crew over at Sport Car Motion, led by Loi Song, continues to impress! Speaking with Loi during the off-season, I was told that I’d have something special to look forward to come the beginning of the season. I really didn’t know what to expect. Surely the Civic hatchback would be fast, it always has been. But just HOW fast? With the usual suspect/driver behind the wheel, Tim Kuo, the team was able to IMPRESS everyone in attendance. A best lap time of 1:55.221 was laid down by Tim on his way to setting a new lap record, and VERY nearly claiming the overall Modified Class Victory.
Unfortunately, many of the other faster FWD time attack cars were no-shows at the first event, which handed a relatively easy victory to Sport Car Motion. This in no way reduces the significance of their victory, as anyone who may have shown up, would have had a VERY difficult time handling the Sport Car Motion Civic. Rounding out the Division were Tom Liang in his Honda Civic with a lap time of 2:04.005 in 2nd place and John Lindeman in his Vaughn Performance/HMO H-Motors Online.com sponsored Acura Integra in 3rd place with a time of 2:06.178.

The FWD Street Class Division saw one of the largest fields in time attack history. A total of 23 cars entered the Buddy Club FWD Division, with a total of 7 “Rookie” drivers. Eric Emerson, in the #38 Acura Integra posted his best time in the first TA session of the day, with a lap time of 2:11.582. True to the typical “grass roots racer”, Eric lists his “Sponsor” as “My Wife and I”. You gotta love it! Not very far behind was Adrian Torres in the #51 Toyota Celica, with a time of 2:13.665.
